** IMPORTANT: DO NOT set the address as same as the **
     ** transceiver's NMEA ID (01 as default). It **
     ** will conflict the GM-110DSC operation. **

4. CLONING OPERATION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Programmed data can be cloned to a GM-110DSC instantly. All data is
clone sent from a PC to the terminal unit (PC -> UNIT) or clone read
from the terminal unit to a PC (PC <- UNIT) for approx. 30 sec. A
cloning cable OPC-552 is needed to connect a PC's RS-232C port to the
terminal unit.

For convenience, when changing a small portion of the programmed
contents, clone read the data from the terminal unit, modify the data,
then clone send it back to the terminal unit.

   ** **
** NOTE: The following data will be cleared when the 'clone send' **
   ** is performed: **
   ** - RCV MSG memories. **
** - Memories programmed via the [MW] key. **
   ** **

CLONE SEND
The programmed data in the PC is copied to the terminal unit.

   1) Connect the OPC-552 between the PC's RS-232C terminal and terminal
      unit's clone receptacle.

   2) Turn the PC and terminal unit power ON.

   3) Start up this program.

   4) Select "Clone" in the TOP menu with the [C] key, or the [Arrow] and
      [Enter] keys.
        - Clone sub menu appears.

   5) Select "PC -> UNIT" in the SUB menu with the [P] key, or the [Arrow]
      and [Enter] keys.
        - "Sending ooo..." appears in the bottom left of corner of the
          screen.
        - "CLONE RX" appears on the terminal unit display.
        - When cloning is finished, "RX" changes to "OK."

      ** **
** NOTE: When the wrong port is selected as the RS-232C **
** port, "ERROR: CLONE error" appears in the bottom **
** left corner of the screen. In this case, check **
** the selection as described on the next page. **
      ** **

   6) Turn the terminal unit OFF and ON again.
        - Clone send is now complete.
